Every library you go into
has a display of books. They might be mysteries or a historical subject or a
fun activity. At Limestone Township Library District, we took many of our
coffee table books and put them on display. We were surprised to see so many as
well as the topics they covered.
The large books include
local history, Illinois history, various wars from the Civil War to the Vietnam
War, artists such as Whistler and Renoir, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Some
are reference books and not available for check out but most books can go home
with you for two weeks when checked out on your library card.
Stop in to see our large
book display.
Check out our program
calendar when you stop in.
Storytime takes place every
Wednesday at 10:15 A.M. with Mr. William reading a picture book or two and
leading us through a fun craft matching the theme of the book.
Join us for Puppet Storytime Theater on Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 A.M. in person with Mr. William and Ms. Holly performing a fun story with our collection of puppets in our puppet theater! Come for the story, stay for the craft afterwards.
Writer's Group will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at 6:30 P.M. A writer's group is a community of writers who come together to share their work, provide feedback, and support each other in their writing endeavors. It can be a great way to improve your writing skills, get inspiration, and connect with other writers.
You don’t have to have a library card to attend our programming. But if you want to check out books, the process for getting a card is simple. Stop in with your Driver’s license or State ID and a piece of mail to verify your address. Persons under the age of 18 will need a parent’s signature. If you live outside of Limestone Township but not in another library district (such as Fossil Ridge or Kankakee), you may need to pay a non-resident fee.
