Spend Some Holiday Break Time 

at Limestone Township Library District


While the library will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, there are still plenty of fun things to do. We are planning a lot of fun for the holiday break time at Limestone Township Library District.

 

We are having a Prince and Princess Tea on Saturday, December 20 at 12:00 P.M. for families! There will be fancy snacks and a craft while the Disney classic, “Frozen,” plays on our Big Screen TV. Dressing up for this event is encouraged!

 

There will be a special Christmas Movie presentation of “Klaus” on Tuesday, December 23 at 5:00 P.M. Festive snacks will be provided. There is no fee for this program.

 

Help us celebrate the new year early at our Noon Years Eve Party on Saturday, December 27. Come at 11:30 A.M. for some fun before the clock strikes 12:00 P.M.

 

Finally, adults will have a fun Adult Craft Night on Tuesday, December 30 at 6:00 P.M. when we paint like Bob Ross, using one of his videos to create our own masterpieces on canvas.

Join us on Friday, December 19, from 11 AM to 1 PM for a fun and creative Scrapbook/Junk Journal group! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, come share your passion for crafting and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Bring your supplies, ideas, and creativity, and let’s make some beautiful memories together! 

 

On Friday, December 19, our Take-and-Make craft involves a little baking! Stop in to pick up a fun Christmas Cookie recipe. Supplies are limited, hurry in!

 

Calling all Princes and Princesses! The library is hosting a special Prince and Princess Tea Party for all royal Folk! We will have tea and snacks while doing a craft and watching Disney's Frozen. Dressing up is welcomed and encouraged. There is no fee for this program.

 

Families are invited to come to the library for Christmas Cookie Decorating on Monday, December 22 at 12:00 noon! You will be able to bring home any cookies you decorate. And you will be given a fun Christmas cookie recipe to try at home!

 

On Tuesday, December 23 at 5:00 P.M., we invite Families to watch the animated Christmas Movie , Klaus, in our meeting room on the big screen TV. Festive snacks and drinks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there! There is no fee for this program.

 

Please be aware that the library will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. We will re-open on Friday, December 26 at 10:00 A.M.

 

We invite the Pre-K crowd (and their parents/guardians) to join us for Pre-K Craft on Friday, December 26 at 11:00 A.M. Come to learn how to create your own paper doll house for your dolls out of paper and cardboard.

 

Our friends ages 6-12 are invited to celebrate Noon Years Eve at the Library on Saturday, December 27, starting at 11:30 A.M.! We will have fun games and activities as well as food and drinks. When the clock strikes 12, we will celebrate the new year! There is no fee for this program. Make sure to sign up ahead of time.

 

Calling kids aged 6 -12. It’s Youth Craft Day on Monday, December 29 at 4:00 P.M. Learn to create a nighttime city skyline using construction paper, colored pencils, and paint with us. All supplies are provided, there is no fee for this program.

 

Join us for a fun painting experience on Adult Craft Night on Tuesday, December 30 at 6:00 P.M.!

Together, we will follow along with an episode of The Joy of Painting hosted by Bob Ross to create a painting of our own using his techniques. All supplies are provided; there is no fee for this program.
