Limestone Township Library District to Hold Art Show

 

Anniversaries are a big deal. It’s meaningful to have put many years into a business or service. As Limestone Township Library District celebrates 30 years of serving the community, we want to celebrate our community’s creative talents by hosting an Art Show.

For the month of April, we want to display 2D pieces (photography, painting, drawing, digital, etc.) throughout the library that has been created by members of our community, showcasing the talent in Limestone and surrounding areas. All ages are encouraged to submit work to be displayed.

To be a part of this month-long art show, community members can drop off their 2D art pieces at the library until Friday, March 27. Each entry, one per person, must have a completed Drop-off form. Drop-off forms can be found at the library as well as on our website (limestonelibrary.org).

Please be aware that we are not accepting 3D pieces (sculpture, ceramics, etc) or pieces that have an 18+ theme.

Looking for something fun outside of the house for your little ones? Come to the library for Open Play every Wednesday between 10:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M., beginning March 4^th! There will be different stations for play areas along with books for your own private story time.

 Do you need a fun morning activity? Bring your favorite plushie and join us for Storytime at the library's gazebo on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 A.M. for a Morning Story Time! There will be stories and a fun activity afterwards.

Come to the library on Monday, March 16 from 6:00 P.M. till 7:30 P.M. for our Adult Craft Night. We will be creating beautiful spring-themed chandeliers, perfect for seasonal home décor! All supplies are provided; there is no fee for this program.

Join us for our Little SPOT of Emotions Story Time and Workshop, led by Harbor House on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:00 P.M.! We will read a book from the Little SPOT of Emotions series and do an on-theme activity. Goodie bags will be provided for attendees. Registration is required for this event.

Are you interested in scrapbooking/junk journalling but need more room to spread out during a creative session? Consider joining us on Friday, March 20 from 11 AM to 1 PM for a fun and creative Scrapbook/Junk Journal Group! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, come share your passion for crafting and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Bring your supplies, ideas, and creativity, or use some of our supplies. Let’s make some beautiful memories together!
