Puppetry is Happening at Limestone Township Library District

Books can lead us to many different places. They can inspire us to create different art forms using that same material. After all, some of our favorite books have been turned into fantastic movies. Can you say The Lord of the Rings?

At Limestone Township Library District, we are creating a different art form with one of our newest books when we have Storytime Puppet Theater on Saturday, January 27 at 11:00 A.M.

Mr. William and Ms. Holly will set up the puppet theater and bring out a cast of puppet characters as they tell the story of Fox Has A Problem by Corey R. Tabor. In this story, Fox is trying to free his kite from a tree but every solution he comes up with leads to a bigger problem. Is there a way to solve this problem to everyone’s satisfaction?

To find out, you have to come to Storytime Puppet Theater. Register by stopping in at the library. You can also register by phone, or leaving a message on Facebook or Instagram.

If you need more information, call us at 815-939-1696.

Check out our program calendar when you stop in.

Storytime takes place every Wednesday at 10:15 A.M., with Mr. William reading a picture book or two and leading us through a fun craft matching the theme of the book.

Have questions about using your smart phone, Word or Excel programs, or how to get around on the World Wide Web? Come in during Drop-in Tech Help Day from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 noon on Friday, January 26. When you arrive at the session, be sure to bring your device and any relevant passwords or login information you might need. The experts will help you troubleshoot and diagnose the issue, working with you to find a solution. Other dates include Friday, February 2 and Tuesday, February 6.

We invite families to come make Valentine Ornaments on Saturday, February 3 at 10:00 A.M. We have clear plastic heart ornaments that can be painted or filled to create a keepsake gift. Supplies are limited, there is no cost for this program.
