Library Week at Limestone Township Library District
National
Library Week began on Sunday, April 6 and runs through Saturday, April 12. This
week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries,
librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening
our communities. This year’s theme is Drawn to the Library!
With
that in mind, Limestone Township Library District is celebrating by holding a Bookmark
Design Contest. The five winning bookmarks will be used during our summer
reading program in our summer reading packets and on the front desk.
Community
members are being asked to come up with a design that incorporates our theme of
Summer Reading: Where Wild Wonders Await. It could feature animals or a nature
scene. It could feature up close images or a far-off scene. The goal is to
create something fun that reflects the idea of Where Wild Wonders Await.
Blank
bookmarks will be available at the Front Desk for you to begin your creation. If
you have any questions, please call the library at 815-939-1696.
Check out our upcoming programing. Call us if you would like to register
for any of these programs.
