Limestone Township Library District hosting Comfy Movie Night

 

Sometimes what we need more than anything is to sit back, relax, and watch a movie.

 

Limestone Township Library District can help you do just that when we host our first Comfy Movie Night on Tuesday, February 20 at 5:30 P.M. Bring a favorite blanket to wrap up in and get comfy while we present “Kiki’s Delivery Service” which was written, produced, and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki has also directed Anime classics “My Neighbor Totoro” and “Spirited Away.”

 

The story is about a young girl who moves to a new village, finding ways to earn a living and make new friends in a coastal town. It is a movie that features Miyazaki’s artistry in animation and storytelling.

 

To add to the cozy vibe, we are serving popcorn and hot chocolate. There is no cost for this program.

Storytime takes place every Wednesday at 10:15 A.M., with Mr. William reading a picture book or two and leading us through a fun craft matching the theme of the book.

 

Starting Thursday, February 15, we are asking all members of the community to draw a picture depicting what they love best about our library in our Love Your Library contest. Entry sheets are available for pick up at the library. Each entry needs to have an age category marked. Final day to turn in drawings is Thursday, March 14. We will have the entries on display through March 31, allowing community members to come and vote for their favorite drawing.

 

Have questions about using your smart phone, Word or Excel programs, or how to get around on the World Wide Web? Come in during Drop-in Tech Help Day from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 noon on Friday, February 16. When you arrive at the session, be sure to bring your device and any relevant passwords or login information you might need. The experts will help you troubleshoot and diagnose the issue, working with you to find a solution.

 

Join us for Puppet Storytime Theater on Saturday, February 17 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. William and Ms. Holly performing a fun story with our collection of puppets in our puppet theater! Come for the story, stay for the craft afterwards.
